In cooperation with Livarsa, two electricity filters were installed during the 2024 production holidays to ensure a more efficient power supply in future and save resources. The current filters, which were installed between the transformers and the low-voltage main distribution board (LVMD), reduce the total energy consumption of the operating devices.

In future, the efficient electricity filters will eliminate interference signals from operating devices in the network and ensure that less electricity is consumed. After several months of planning and the implementation of preparation work, both current filters were successfully put into operation. Initial measurements of the savings potential were carried out in August and September. An average saving of 3.28 % of electricity consumption was achieved in an area of production that previously consumed around 6,500,000 KWh of electricity per year. In addition, higher values have already been displayed during operation. As a result, a reduction in electricity consumption of approx. 213,200 KWh / year is expected!

In spring 2023, the first electricity filter was installed in another production hall. The positive experiences and the measured savings were decisive for the purchase of further electricity filters. The entire project was implemented during the production holidays, meaning that three electricity filters are now actively saving energy during production. On average, a reduction of around 4% of the previous electricity consumption is expected with all three electricity filters.
